We strive to be as transparent as possible with our all our pricing and practices, all of which can be found on our Services page. Though we display an estimate of our prices, all categorized by service and organized by size, please be aware that there are several factors that determine your overall cost. Depending on the type and condition of your pup’s coat, we may need to apply de-shed or de-matting services. Styles that consist of longer hair or more technical scissor work will also alter the final cost. Finally, we invite all of our clients to consider our unique ‘Additions’ which help enhance your pup’s experience, such as our coat rejuvenation cleanser & mask, blueberry facial polish or color dyes.

In order for your puppy to develop a healthy relationship with grooming, it’s crucial to familiarize them with our services at an early stage. They can be brought in once they’ve received their second set of puppy shots, typically between 3 to 4 months old.

We recommend scheduling in the earlier, quiet hours, allowing your little one to adjust to the new surroundings. As more pups arrive, the gradual increase in noise helps them adapt to the environment. We highly recommend establishing a regular grooming schedule from the start, to help ensure that your pup recognizes it as a natural part of their life. In addition to grooming, we believe in the importance of dog training, kennel training, and socialization with humans and fellow dogs. These experiences contribute to a more positive and stress-free visit to the groomer, vet, and other situations.

Please note that puppies brought in for a their first visit, will receive a ‘Bath & Tidy’ service, and not a ‘Bath & Haircut’ service. We prioritize your puppy's comfort and overall well-being above all else, and easing them into our care and services is our goal.

We take the time to assess your pup's skin and coat needs, ensuring that they receive the most suitable treatment possible. The Le Pawsh team is trained to carefully examine your furry friend's skin, checking for any potential issues such as dryness or irritation. A healthy coat is not only visually appealing but also indicative of your pup’s overall well-being. We have optional ‘Additions’ that you can add to your pup’s service, to target specific issues and abnormalities.

For those that wish to use medicated shampoo: Please feel free to bring in your pup’s shampoo and notify us of your request during drop-off. Though we commend your proactive approach, we strongly urge owners to exercise caution when using medicated shampoos, as they can often dry out your pup's skin and coat. We would be more than happy to work with you to craft a plan that address your little one’s needs, using our methods and products.

Every pup is unique and all owners have varying preferences. We recommend a schedule of every 4 to 6 weeks. This includes skin and coat treatments once a month, as well as regular nail and ear maintenance. If you're unable to visit for our full ‘Bath & Haircut’ service that frequently, we suggest filling in the gaps with our ‘Bath & Tidy’ or ‘Bath & Brush’ services which we can assist in setting up for you.

We offer assistance in crafting a customized grooming schedule tailored to your pup’s specific coat type, hair length, and to fit your lifestyle. Different coat types require varying levels of care, so we take into consideration factors such as shedding patterns, matting tendencies, and specific grooming needs. Additionally, we take your lifestyle into account to ensure the schedule and timing allows for the accommodation of the required maintenance. By working closely with our clients, we aim to create a grooming routine that suits both their beloved canine companion and their busy lifestyle, allowing for convenience and maintaining the dog's coat health at its best.

Cancellations

Cancellations and reschedules must be done before 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time or will incur a cancellation fee, totaling 50% of the scheduled service. Please note that text messages, form submissions and emails do not qualify as a valid form of cancellation.

No-Shows

Those who arrive more than 15 minutes late for drop-off, will be considered a ‘No-Show’ and may incur a fee totaling 50% of the scheduled service. If running late, we ask that you please call our team. It is entirely up to the discretion of our team, based on our schedules and timing, if your pet would still be able to be serviced.

We elect to not provide anal gland expression services. While we understand that anal gland expression can offer relief to some dogs, it is considered an internal service that falls outside our area of scope of practice. In such situations, we strongly recommend reaching out to your trusted veterinarian who possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to address this matter effectively.

We do, however, offer a range of other services to ensure your pup's health and hygiene. In instances where your dog's ear hair has grown excessively and cannot be simply trimmed, we provide an optional ear hair plucking service. It's important to note that this service may open up the skin, which can result in an increased risk of infection. While we take utmost care during this process, we want to remind you that any potential infection that may occur post-service is not something we assume liability for. To maintain the optimal ear health for your companion, we recommend regular ear cleaning as part of their at-home maintenance.
